For 3 consecutive years (2012, 2013 and 2014), UFP was ranked #1 Pan European Special Situations Research firm by Europe’s leading investor survey Thomson Reuters EXTEL. This achievement reflects UFP’s commitment to excellence in Special Situations Research, providing best in class and in-depth research coverage on companies where specific events may act as a catalyst for material price actions, using fundamental analysis and unique in-house legal resources.
We help our customer base to identify companies which have significant upside/downside compared to current trading levels and provide research materials covering angles that traditional sell side analysts do not cover well. Beyond fundamental valuation work, we are looking at legal, antitrust, regulatory and other angles which can have a significant influence in companies’ valuation.
To fulfil this aim, we conduct in-depth fundamental analysis as well as investigatory work, which includes discussions with relevant parties we believe have knowledge, understanding and/or influence on the companies we are analysing.
